Supplement Resveratrol
Wikipedia says:
“Resveratrol is a phytoalexin produced naturally by several plants when under attack by pathogens such as bacteria or fungi. Resveratrol has also been produced by chemical synthesis and is sold as a nutritional supplement derived primarily from Japanese knotweed. In mouse and rat experiments, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, blood-sugar-lowering, chelating and other beneficial cardiovascular effects of resveratrol have been reported.”
How to use resveratrol? According to biotvia.com:
“Resveratrol is not very water soluble therefore your body needs to produce enzymes such as bile from the liver and gall bladder to assimilate it hence the recommendation to ingest a small amount of a healthy oil such as an Omega-3 capsule about twenty minutes before taking resveratrol. This stimulates the production of the necessary enzymes and facilitates absorption. Since our products are natural and contain no fillers which might irritate your stomach they can be taken on an empty stomach. Resveratrol will be absorbed more easily if taken at least one hour before or after consuming a substantial meal. Our products may be taken at any time however early morning is when your body best absorbs most nutrients. To prevent intracellular oxidation of the resveratrol, and this applies to many other polyphenols as well, one should take an antioxidant with one’s daily resveratrol dose.”
